Spoken words are sometimes forgotten
Like the wind in your hair, while you're walking
Sidelined and tired, by the constant breeze
Just won't give up
Just can't give in
to the verb in your lust
to the turn and the thrust

I wrote down the truest feelings
I placed them underneath your bedroom pillow
I walked off hoping that the things would not be forgotten
I walked off hoping you'd at the very least understand
That the most basic thing in a relationship
Is just watching, admiring, and reading each other
Even as we walk in opposite directions
I tried to be a better me
In the end I looked like the rest of them.

  • some of these poems really get to me, and this is one of them.
    You ask me to enter
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
    To what You got
When all You've got is hurt
    ----
    Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame

    I loved that verse :)
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    I agree, it's very good.
  • I like it.
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
