stuck in a rut
don't know where to turn
there's a cloud of smoke to the left
that looks like it might burn

i think I'll lay low
watching the others smile as they walk by
with their happy day to day routines
that make their dramatic minds easy to read

stuck in my bed
don't know the time
there's a ray of light shining on my hand
it cannot stray my mind...

i think I'll stay down
watching the stars shift beyond the black
depth of vision is giving in once again
it's blurring reality so much I can't read myself

i think i'm being dumb
ignoring your request
for me to just open up
but i know I'll lay low in the end
because I've been down the road on the left
and I have the scars to prove just that

stuck in a rut
don't know where to go
left, right? back, again?
I think I'll lay low... just spreading the love
in my own little way

Isn't that the best anyways?
I tried to be a better me
In the end I looked like the rest of them.

    Well I think it is.
« One man's glory is another man's hell.
You’re on the outside, never bound by such a spell.
Together in the darkness, alone in the light.
I took it upon me to be yours, Timmy,
I’ll lead your angels and demons at play tonight......»

Well, I hope you figure yourself out sometime. :)

Clearly, everyone has the right to choose which habits to keep and which ones to let go, but in this, the person is staying in bed which seems to imply depression, or the need to recover from an injury too.
