you stood in front of me
I never could tell
if you were lying
or if you felt ill
and what did it matter?
what would I have done?
I'm not your father
I'm barely a son

you take everything I had
ripped it up, into a bed
buried deep into the sands
I cannott fake this
it's driving me mad

and when you run away
I'll follow you to your grave
and when you run away
I'll follow you for days
it's not that you can't escape
it's that you're looking in the wrong place

your stamp of approval
never really meant much
it's just a shiny dot
in see of webs
and what would it matter?
and what would we do?
I'm not the answer
I'm barely a clue

you take everything I had
tore it into tiny shreds
burning up into your hands
think layer of ashes
they're driving me mad

and when you run away
I'll follow you to your grave
and when you run away
I'll follow you for days
it's not that you can't escape
it's that you're looking in the wrong place

you can't say I didn't try
cause this never happened
it's occurance was a lie
place, date and time
you can't say I never tried.
I tried to be a better me
In the end I looked like the rest of them.

Blame me, blame me, blame me
because you were always so far away
blame me, blame me, blame me
because I couldn't follow you around
blame me, blame me, blame me
    that you didn't
set a date, a place and a time
did it ever occur to you that I might have to work?
did it ever occur to you that I was afraid of showing up unwanted?
Come and see me, then you can say you tried
Call me and set a date, then you can say you tried
Otherwise, all this blame is misplaced

Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead
decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter
    he grew a beard.
