I'm undertaking a huge research project, I need help from all of you! I'm researching themes of isolation, loneliness, and alienation. Specifically isolation within the metropolis, i.e thousands upon thousands of strangers living next door to each other and never knowing their neighbours etc.
All i'm asking for is any sources you may know of that may assist me, any websites/magazines/books/blogs, absolutely anything. Images, texts, I'm looking for everything. Please let me know if you think of anything, you are my greatest resource. Thank you so much.
John

Have you read The Lonely Londoners, by Sam Selvon? That seems the quintessential novel dealing with your research topic. It's especially interesting, given its post-colonial dimension, too.
  • Sounds perfect, gonna order it right now - thank you!
