Remember that night
When you promised forever?
You’d love me till the end of time
That your heart
would never die?
I felt so warm, so fine

We passed the days
holding hands
With long gazes into each other’s eyes
Embraces that kept us warm
On the coldest nights
Isn’t it scary how time flies

I woke up this morning
Like any other day
Sun shinning and birds singing
But I somehow missed
the alarm
I just didn’t hear it ringing

You asked if I noticed
How dark the clouds were
I didn’t see them, in love I was lost
“Forever is over.”
You whispered
And you were gone like warm frost

I called your name
But you still walked
Tears hitting the ground
Then I could see
The darkening sky
Hear the thundering sound

My mind panicked
My heart broke
Is this how it feels when forever is over?
I didn’t know what to expect
When time ended
But my heart has never been colder
