Lord, allow me to fail.
Allow me to scrape my knees and elbows
To reach so high that I have to fall
Give me the opportunity
to crash and burn
reaching for dreams that sit among the stars

Lord, allow my heart to break
Allow me to love someone
so completely that they have to break my heart
Give me the day filled
with expectations of smiles and hugs
That any negative action causes pain

Lord, allow me to be broke
Allow me to never have money
that burns a hole in my pocket
Take away all my accounts
that are filled with possible
amounts to spend on anything

Lord, allow me
Allow me to be
A failure in the eyes of this world
Live the life you dream
