She writes it in her latent book
He sings his words out loud
His heart is out there
And it’s getting pushed around
She whispers to her friends
People with finite ends
But his frustration takes a voice not so pretend

And the muted room he’s in absorbs the sound
And he stares himself in the eye until he’s found
His hair thrashes around
And his feet just miss the ground
Even as he floats back down

Just scream at me
I’m aching to be deafened by what you believe
Your power to relieve is still the last trick up your sleeve
So I plead:
Astound me
