I was standing with her one night
When all of a sudden I was in a fight
I threw a left and then a right
But I took a blow and all was bright

I never saw her for over ten years
I had finally gotten over all my fears
I had a stomach full of booze and beers
She left me alone again in arrears

I soon forget about her once more
When she showed up at my old front door
I let her in and I laid down the law
"I fell in love with you, you damn whore!"

She stayed with me for a week
And of she went after she called me a freak
I dropped to my knees and again I was weak
"Never again, I'm not gonna be meek"

So once again I'm all alone
All my chances have be blown
But all her actions I do not condone
If I'm after love though I'll have to roam!
Wave came crashing...

What a powerful final line. I had the full range of emotion while reading this. Thanks for sharing.
