poem for my mother

she died 2 years ago today. I have posted this before, and wanted to write something new, which I normaly do on special occasions and fold them into a framed picture of her. I could not do it this time so I opened the frame today and this poem popped out.
Leafs
Leafs blow across my mind and I remember you
They rustle and crackle under soft feet
They come in moments of sweet reflection
Stirring memories from dank places
Life grunts and groans onward
It dulls my senses and saps my strength
Then as the chasm calls I lean in to hear
The leafs that stir your song in my mind
Leafs
Leafs blow across my mind and I remember you
They rustle and crackle under soft feet
They come in moments of sweet reflection
Stirring memories from dank places
Life grunts and groans onward
It dulls my senses and saps my strength
Then as the chasm calls I lean in to hear
The leafs that stir your song in my mind
"Music washes the dust from every day life."
