I very rarely share my work, I don't really know why, its just me I guess. A fellow member read some of my work and thought I should post some.......so here it is...I hope you enjoy. I wrote all three of these a few years back, I hope there not too sappy!!
EYES OF AN ANGEL
Looking into the precious face of a girl causes an impression, not by the make-up, which falsifies her face, but rather by the purity of her baby blue eyes.
Although you can see her gorgeous tears, you must look deeper, past the space of her pupils, where her true beauty lies.
Hidden behind the costume of a young innocent girl, rests a sophisticated angel, which is acquired only by the most mature of them.
Knowing that you want it and cannot have it due to the laws of fate turns the luminous light dim.
Until along comes a wingless angel, whose baby blue eyes ironically resemble those which you admired.
One who cuts through the shadows of the darkness with her shedding light, and hope is acquired.
Hope, that one day the world will quit falsifying love as hormonal instincts, rather them the foundations of feelings.
Allowing the pain inflicted by others to close the wounds of a struggling species and to begin the process of healing.
Sending the impurities of love to be cleansed by the descending tears,
Of the wingless angle’s pure baby blue eyes, as infinity nears.
The Secrets Within
I wonder what lies in the uncharted jungle,
Which has just enough clearing to tease my thoughts.
I wonder what is in its valley’s I’ve never seen,
And rivers that I’ve never heard flow.
I wonder what behind its doors of sight,
Which open and close more rapidly then I realize.
I wonder why I don’t take a leap,
And map it out with my own experiences.
I wonder if I will ever bathe in the lakes,
Which could be wet or may have long been dry.
I wonder if I will ever run through the curly vines,
Which flow from the treetops so gracefully.
I wonder if the jungle knows I’m here,
Grasping at its endless fields of covering.
I wonder if the words that echo off the trees,
Will ever reach my ear in understanding.
I wonder if the shadows of the night,
Will ever shine like stars because of my presence.
I wonder if its reason for growing in my path,
Is for me to harvest its fruits.
I wonder why this field is intriguing to me,
Even though I’ve never walked on its land.
I wonder if the forest’s covering high above,
Will ever fall and show me its secrets.
I wonder if I will ever glisten in the moonlight,
While talking to it and not saying a word.
I wonder if it’s rivers will cease to flow,
If I ever try to drink its water.
I wonder what really makes the jungle scream,
And cry and makes it laugh.
I wonder if man has polluted its air,
Or if it has breathed cleanly forever.
I wonder if the valleys, streams, and rivers,
All come together at a wonders spot deep within.
I wonder if it welcomes new pioneers in its path,
Or if the path will suddenly get lost.
I wonder why I don’t just step into it,
And put my wonders to rest.
I wonder if I will always wonder!
THE ONE TRUE ANSWER
Have you ever tried to reach for the stars?
You know you’ll never touch them, but you feel you must try again.
And yet, as I reach for the star of your heart,
I feel I might actually succeed in love.
But which person truly knows what love is?
Only he who respects the fate of himself.
Can a man totally control his own fate?
Only if he believes in the power of love.
How shall one believe in something which he does not know?
Gaze your eyes upon the stars; they hold all of the answers.
Have you ever tried to reach for the answers?
Cheers to all,
Newagehippie
