there was a tangle for paper

a... being told to stay

shelves upon shelves of books overhead
the brown, bucket-couch.
boots and coats and wag-tail dogs
melting out of import
the decision to stay, capricious, made

time passes, however. as it does for new things
quickly. beyond notice...
melting out of import
like the paper, smoking into a room
tenaciously intact, and then yet away

out of the door
down the three flights
and uphill on a lilac sidewalk
in a misty, midnight,
snow-crunch town

big flakes, blow 'round its hold
smoke smiles, three feet wide
chaste and white despite
sheets lit-gold
or bear-skin blankets
the paper from which it came

it's the freedom that freedom
wills to unfold
and it's beautiful
despite the things that it's told

  • :) Mmmmm "brown, bucket couch, lilac sidewalks, smoke smiles, three feet wide" and the topper: "the freedom that freedom wills to unfold and it's beautiful despite the things that it's told" :) Love it, Pasta!

    Hail to capricious decisions! :D
