my cat died...

You
furry bleed sneezer,
hacking harvester,
delicious old time,
best friend, despite
the distant admiration
the buzy hand...
You were family
And now, you rest.
Left. Your twisted,
dog shake body
to the ground
from you
ascend
Be at peace, companion
dislike me as you might
(I cannot know)
With Love,

My cat ran away about six months ago, about a month after we moved :(
we always thought se had died, but she has recently been signalled by our former neighbours... wonder if it's really her
Wishing you strength

you wrote a good thing here.
a family member indeed.
to me the word pet seems negative or lower in class.
yea i like this kinda style.
thank you for sharing your thoughts.
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
Pet is in source a derivative of a Gaelic Irish word, the nearest translative synonym being that of a tame animal. However, the translation with its many developmental contexts and subtexts loses the nuances of respect and magical adoration that, in Irish culture, is bestowed upon the broken-in horse, for example, or any domesticated (but not necessarily mastered) animal.
Of course, please google a compendium of more recent usages in this language.
We might settle this discussion in your favour, if we can show that peata , the origin of pet in Irish, shares a root with pietās in Latin.
Someone with the time, step in.
Hope you don't mind this discussion, Rachel! Cats work sideways anyway, and love digressions. It's what he would have wanted.
of course, that's only the way we've translated it in class for about 6 years straight

btw, the tongue out was not meant as a ways of insulting your intelligence or anything, far from it...
I admire your work and show nothing but respect for people (I've found that to be more beneficial)

take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
the word pet is most used when someone is speaking of an animal
more so than that is the idea of owning an animal
thats just my opinion
to me the word pet seems captive for ones amusement

Thanks to all y'all for reading this, and for your kind thoughts.
All of my pets (except for the fish) are someone else's rejects. I'm down one cat and up one dog that needs kitties-are-not-to-be-eaten training so that I might retain the one cat I have left. She's the best cat we've ever had
who said he was? hence me using the present participle.
take a good look

lie beside me
i just need to say
and I will have seen them two days in a row, how 'bout that

My heart is heavy my wellspring is all tapped out
This penance I paid
Has far too much doubt
For the freedom of your soul
Too little to wear out
A little buttterfly
Within an angels stout
My baby she’s gone
In a fleet of an instant
Without a goodbye
She dove into the distant
No more surprises
When I greet her at home
No more sunrises
And I wondered where of she roamed
But how could I have ever made her captive
How could I have ever chained
Her down
When the depth of those ocean eyes
Told me she needed to play around
Around the ferns and the sycamore
And the cobble stone with mice
That she brought in to feed me
Not once but twice
The bond that we shared
Was mightier than thou
Strung up and soaring
Like a captain at the bow
Strong and sturdy
With time it would last
Beyond the wounds
And the haziness
Our love held so fast
Dear precious soul
May you be beyond peace
And roam in your home
With the greatest of beasts
May you delight in the
Feasts and run through the woods
And dine at the beaches in the
World without rules
thanks to you, and to BeingEnlightened, too
r.i.p to your kitty.
