a red paper cup full of change makes me wonder...

i sit here at 1:57 on July 10th.
i sit here in my lifetime.

i have no idea what i am doing tomorrow.
i have no idea what i am doing with my life.

i wasted today, just like all the others.
i wasted all 17 years of my life.

i plan to wrestle time tomorrow.
in a steel cage match that was scheduled for yesterday
but he fucked with the plans, and what can i do, he is time.

i hope one day to kiss fate.
plant my lips and hers and pray she takes care of the rest.
she is so powerful-if you believe anyway.
me, i dont buy into it. but her lips would give me proof.

i really like your metaphor, the one in the title.

a red paper cup full of change.

that is very interesting. i might work that into a poem of my own one day, with your permission

if not, maybe it will be a silver bowl full of change; that's where i keep mine, literally.
  • pearlmutt, i give you whatever permission you need to use. i keep mine in the red paper cup, and the other day i just stood looking at for about 10 minutes, thinking about things, and it all stemed from that paper cup.

i thought of some pretty random stuff that i couldnt even figure out how to communicate with words, so i kind of just put some of them down. it worked out a little strange but whatever
