Darkness falls over

Darkness falls over my eyes.
The light out there is a lie.
I cannot yell, I cannot cry.
Am I awake? Did I die?

Hush child, do not weep.
Shhhh don’t let out a peep.
????
Oh, thank god, I’m just asleep.
