always thought
that it'd be me
always worried
that it'd be me
always presumed
that it'd be me
always hated
that it'd be me
almost stopped
'cause it'd be me
always hated
being wrong
that it'd be me
always worried
that it'd be me
always presumed
that it'd be me
always hated
that it'd be me
almost stopped
'cause it'd be me
always hated
being wrong

but i do it soooo well.
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what You got
When all You've got is hurt
----
Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame
but lately, i've come to realize that i'm much better at analyzing/judging other people's situations/problems than my own.
But that's so typical!!
That's one of the best things we needs friends for--to see us from a different angle and analyze things we can't see from where we're sitting. At least, I've noticed that this one of the more helpful things that good, loving friends can do.
yeah, i'd agree with you there. one key is to actually LISTEN to the advice you hear, which is what i have a problem with sometimes.
Yeah.
But don't you find that you remember what people say and think about it, even if it takes you a while to do it? (That's what usually happens to me.)
Unique poem. Nice repetition.
well, i suppose the second key is making sure that the advice settles in before it's too late. sometimes the damage's already done. it happens all the time, both with advice i've given and received. it does make you appreciate the friend though after the fact.
