save up your tender
'til you're ready to ride
wait for the right seat
strap yourself in tight
time for another revolution
the same old movement

the climb's exhilerating, just don't look down
and don't look now, here comes the fall
gathering speed, no stopping it now
scream, empty your lungs, let it all out
the shouting drowning thoughts
as you finish the circuit

the screetching of breaks, it's time to get off.
departing in the same place you started
the intangible comfort of familiarity
a bit frazzled, but safely back home

fix your hair, and adjust your shirt
it's time to seek out another ride
just another face in the crowd.

    I dig it.

Was it set to music when you wrote it?
