My Muse

Fill my ears with red wine
Pull crisp sheets over my innocent eyes
Hold my cracked tired hands
Never let me die
Water my lips with sweet sounds
Harvest my racing insanity
When forgotten, remember me
Rattle my sleeping cage
Fight by my side
And celebrate my success
Weep for my losses
And push me forward, if by inch
For without you, no taste
No soft touch
Spawns no afterglow
Be forever attached
Never let me die

  • Of all the poems you laid down today, I found this one the most heartfelt (I'm a sucker for those) and most enjoyable for me. Your writing is interesting--you've displayed many different styles and all in one day! :) Mules and wolves and tang, oh my! Keep it up!
