A Poem My Mother Wrote.....

She of the quite glances
was not oft spoken still

Let go of once held wishes
and sleeps beneath the hills

Though none did hasten to her side
and days grew longer still

Her wretched longing she abides
with words that echo still.

This is just a snippet of her work and pales compared
to her finest.
I am a fan of the Master Poets and have been since 15..
and I have always thought that my mother was one of the
most talented poets Ive read. Ive urged her to be published
but she thinks that would be too egotistical...*sigh*
Her poetry makes me sad because she is my mom and I want
her to be happy, but it echoes a longing and sadness that only
she knows. A well of pain and unrealized dreams I couldnt imagine if I tried.

  • thanks for sharing.. I really like this one.....lots!!!
It doesnt hurt.... when I bleed
    but memories...they eat me
    I've seen it all before,...
bring it on cause I'm no victim.
