I don't even want to think about how much gas money I'm going to spend on this long PJ road trip.

It looks like I will be spending $0 for travel, as I don't think I will be able to attend the show that I have tickets to. :-(

I'm trying to get some people to take the drive from NYC to VA Beach with me. Right now, I'm going solo, and then joining my girlfriend in Philly for the rest of the shows.

Again, if anyone needs a ride from NYC to VA Beach, please let me know. :)

for the first time since 2004....no flights for me! :D and when i did fly in 2005, 2006 and 2007.....airmiles baby! :D i don't even wanna know what we're gonna spend on gas getting down to DC. i am just very happy we bought a brand new car last year, a versa, so pretty fuel efficient. :) LI>hartford>mansfield>LI....should have 3-4 people each way sharing expenses, so that helps. DC will be the most expensive all the way round for us, b/c it is the one show i am traveling just with my husband, sharing my 10c tix and hotel 2 nights...just us...so 100% of the expenses. also our 16th wedding anniversary on the 20th......so also 100% worth it. ;)

oh and MSGs....both local, so good ole LIRR. we already have monthly passes, so no added expenses. gotta love that.

2 local shows (Camden), MSG (via train) = very little spent on gas or travel :)

$200 for roundtrip from chicago to dc. 2 nights at capital hilton in dc for $79 a night splitting with a friend. pertty good deal...

$0 for airfare this time (using air miles)

$65 for housing (that's one night in Hartford Hotel, remaining nights at friend's house in Providence)

Gas will only be what I put in the rental car.

    $160 for the rental car

$444 for tickets to three shows

I made out pretty well. If it wasn't for the air miles and lodging break, I wouldn't be able to do this this year. This will be my last travel for "normal" shows. I can't afford it anymore. If there is a special show somewhere in the future, then I will reconsider. Yes, I know all shows are "special" but you know what I mean.

70 miles round trip to Mansfield X 2 will be dirt cheap. The 2 weeks spent driving around Ireland on our honeymoon just prior to the shows from the 12th to the 27th will be very expensive! 4 dollar gas is going to seem like a bargain when I get back!

  • about 2100 miles for the 8 shows, including taking the train for the 2 msg shows

    about $400 in gas rounded...

not to bad i guess, plus splitting with the people ill be going with, plus 12 for the train ticket...about 450 in travel expenses
  • I expect to end up spending about 2000euro on travel and accomadation alone (about 3000 dollars)!

    So Far:
650 euro for flights from Shannon to JFK.
300 euro for new york motel
Whatever the cost is by train to get to hartford
Motel 6 in hartford is about 130 dollars.

I yet have to pay for:
    gas to get to mansfield.
    Two nights hotel in mansfield
1 night hotel in boston in between mansfield shows.
Travel costs to boston and back
Travel costs to then get to NY again after mansfield shows!

That aint including how much I spent for tix for 5 shows and obviously my own cash!!

    6 days rental car = $115
    6 nights various hotels (approx) = $550
    Gas (approx) = $150
    PJ Tix WPB + Tampa = $292

    so far $1677

I just today booked my flight for next week. Got one of the best deals of all time to be honest. On very short notice too. Flying roundtrip from Springfield Missouri to Orlando for $158! I'm going to both FL shows, so I just needed to be in the area.

Frequent flier miles are going to take me to L.A. for the VH1 The Who tribute.

I'll be putting up the "Gone Jamming" sign on the morning of 6/11 . I will then pay $636 for a total of five flights (Philly to WPB, Tampa to Charlotte, Charlotte to Nashville, Nashville to Charlotte, Charlotte to Columbia ) .

As for gas pains.. I got a rental compact , I'll be the one emerging from the clown car, for WPB to Tampa. Gas pain unknown. I'll be Jampooling during The Roo ,from Columbia to Camden, and from Philly to DC to share gas costs ( total unknown but I figure at least a $200-$300 gas pump porking coming on even with ride share) . I'll be doing the Media Megalopolis to NYC by train and foot. As it stands now, I'm doing the Hartford and Mansfield runs by car and solo. Can you say major NE US gas sticker shock . I'm guessing at least $500 for gas when all is said and done
