Don’t be afraid to see replies in other eyes
Don’t be afraid to look
Don’t look now
But he’s doing it again

It’s in them

Don’t be afraid to think about what’s true
Don’t be afraid to think
Don’t think love is dead
In an empty bed

It’s in you

Don’t be afraid to speak the words that fill your head
Don’t be afraid to say
Don’t say anything
You don’t mean

They’re in you

Don’t be afraid to touch the life of someone near
Don’t be afraid to feel
Don’t touch without pain
It hurts to heal

It’s in you

    the motto of the modern human being: don't be afraid to heal, be afraid of being cut just afterwards...

    Thanks for the feedback guys. It inspires me to write more, which is just what I need. :)

    I wrote this poem based on my own experience learning to heal...

    Sometimes you let yourself get so broken down that it's just more appealing to give up and give in than to

    stand
    back
    up

    Hey guys, I was just reading over this thread and I noticed that my signature could come across kind of self-degrading.

    I just wanted to point out that that wasn't my intention. For me, Down is an uplifting song - one about hope.
