Dragon Fire

Dragon fire,
lava-hot
orange
blossoms,
flaming re-entry,
heat shield
melting,
a
tracer shell
arcing
the
far night,
starbursts
against
the moon.

Who could predict this most platinum moment?

Flames melting metal,
chain links
reforged
into a
single strand—
molten
hot string
connecting
tectonically
across
space
of
our
time.

Platinum string connecting jewel centers under blazing stars.

Dragon hot
electric charges
circumnavigate
the global
dance,
invisible—
known but
not known,
and flame
grows
as if
a chrysanthemum,
with all
of its
brightness,
a
new diamond
forged
through organic
matter
and
dragon fire.

As the moon smiles to greet the dazzling sun,
dragon flies circling diamond swamp center,
appear to glow amidst the flame.

Who could predict platinum would melt from simple dragon fire,
and the blazing
of the stars?
