Bliss Number 2

Orchids, and
art, and
amaretto,
what could
be better
than this?

Paintings by
Titian, or
Rembrandt,
scallops, crab-
stuffed veal,
our kiss?

Lush pears,
Bimba cherries,
Florentine
for Medici,
Corona Pinot,
our bliss?

Your eyes,
a-sparkle by
candlelight,
103..infinity,
nothing’s joy
betters this!

    Oh Yeah!
THis was about a pretty wonderful little trip we had to Washington DC, Cassia's first visit, so all those elements
above reflect some pretty wonderful memories....
and of course the Titian's and the Bimbi cherries/pears were on display at the National Gallery and cherries just about came up everywhere we went. Yeah, & the veal/crab was Filomena's,
one of my favorite little Italian places in Georgetown, it was magic!
    :):):)
    thanks for your read BE

  • Any time you share 'em and I happen to be seeing 'em, I'll be reading 'em, my friend! ;)

You two kids have some damn fine memories and I love enjoying your reliving/retelling/reloving of them! Your poems always make me :) or :D for that simple reason!
