KRISPY KREME BOOTH DAWN
the spin side----
rhapsody of doughnuts! sugar stars
the predawn shivers of intoxicant desire!
drive on, drive on, through 7 degree dark
up the hill to fresh smell evaporating dough--
the oddities of pumpkin spice old fashioneds
key lime cheesecake dizzily deciding
chocolates and .......sugar rushing
circular mushcakes, sips java
bold bold bold (more shivers)
UNTIL color-ahoy!!
and yes from the window walling
the booth we sit, we see the
first flares of purple lighting the deep grey
clouds...succulent pinks magenta fuschia
tickles of lavender, roses bending back to pink
neon apricot streudeling atop hard-pressed
lemon golds ohmygod colorgasmic excitations
of pushing suncolor spinning
ohmygod deep oranges, palest whisperiest
pale green quail's egg blue leafing over
now new white cloud streaks THE BASE IS
GLOWING now now through black gnarled branches
of wizard trees, the intense ballet
of PURE GOLD RISING
and laughingly i say ohmygod it looks
like sun on the lake
and SMILLLLLLLLLLE DUH CUZ
HELLO IT IS THE SUN
but what do i know cuz im blonde
