I found a dusty box of pictures.
Dust so thick, black clouds covered the room.
The Blackness set the mood for what awaited me inside.
Hands trembling, I opened the old box.
Thumbing through each photogragh,
I found a picture of you.
You, so young and heavenly.
How I long for thoses days of innocence.
All I got is this picture, closing the box.
Don't need a raincoat, I'm already wet..

  • Thats a very sad piece, i feel I can ralate to it, because i was looking through my mums photo album and i saw a picture of my Grandfather who died whan i was younger, and it made me wander what he would have been like to know as a person. I know the experience that you wrote about is different, but i feel that i can relate to your piece anyway-
"...all i got is this picture, closing the box..."
    It's well written.
Situations get fucked up and turned around sooner or later...
