Good evening, im new to the board, so hello, and here are two songs i wrote not so long ago..

"My Kind"
In the age of darkness
When the rivers run red
Those that we feel
Will be left to be our dead
He said, "Life is what you make it"
And,"Eat all the others' bread"
For when you have the chance to make it
Is when the rivers will heal

This is my kind of story
Just like Andy's Mr. Faded Glory
And as he told us
We'll someday fall

And in the prophet's pages
Our critics will be silenced
That will be the time
To shake our heads
He never told me that he loved me
Never told how I could be fed
My eyes took me on a journey
And I'll never return

This is my kind of tale
Eddie's words have never failed
Now we'll meet our death
And be in peace

"People's Cry"
I've been listening
And I've been watchin'
But my hopeful screams have been wasted
Then you go preachin'
That the kids your boys are killin'
Is just what your country needs

But people, now see, there's no hope in sight
When, with his country in his hands, you see your leader in the night
He threw your kids away, he's gonna get your hit
You know you hate the man, he's torn the countries to bits

Come now people
Of both lands
Get them both out while you can
If we all
Wait any longer
Then thos bloodsuckers
Will just grow stronger

Hey people come on, there'll be hope in sight
With out actions, our timing has to be right
If we take some help from lady Justice
Then those hated will be driven from office

And can you see, my friens
On the west side of the porch
The battle that is ragin'
But they times, they will be chaingin'
When, out of our hands
The men will be agein'
The people's cry
Will go to rest for a while
Then what we will have
Will be justice for some time

Tell me what you think.
I'd dance with you....
...but my hands are on fire.

  • I like "The People's Cry" , especially the first stanza.

Maybe some day we can remove the blinfold from Lady Justice's eyes...

Welcome & keep it up Stoney! :D
