Closed Eyes

Closed eyes see dark then light

Behind the day past the 24-hour stain

I discover a world with closed eyes

A place of color, smeared flashes
of emotional black.

I was sweet pink before the tainted hues; I seek
tranquility within a white space.

Ingest red into my gut; illustrations bleed my thoughts

Yellow from the window outside of my mind,
strikes daylight

Open eyes see dark until the light fades, another day.

  • I want to see the light! Where's that confounded light switch?

It's dark in here, seekit but I like it!

yes a candle that flickers to tell the truths
    a light to a way
    through
    the dark
    past the grey
    into
    happy
    into
    joy
