I'd probably skip the Missississippi, its big, flat & muddy & too many boats & floods to be romantic,
probably outta at least hang on until you can get to a
decent river, like say the Santiam, maybe the or McKenzie,
be worth it just to say you saw a really pretty river first.

i see your point... i got a nice river by me but the bridge is only 5 feet above the water... not gonna work too well.. and the signifigance of the whole mississippi thing is a conversation i had with a friend who lives in iowa... the mississippi is the only river directly inbetween us... just a stupid poem thing anyhow...
