inkblot nightmares
what do i see
a bird, a tree, a house
the ink's gettin' to me
the ends of my imagination
are beginning to fray
unwinding and untwisting
into evrey which way
thinking up ideas
that can never be found
saying all these words
but never makin' a sound
grabbing onto meanings
that will never make sense
i will never make sense
no one will ever make sense of this now

has gone to my head
sayin' all these words
that have never been said (before)
tasting all the sun drops
and feeling the rain rays
nothing is abnormal
it's an ordinary day today
i think i'll put the past away

and then come screeching to a halt
and fade away
no more sun drops today
