Dinosaur Lampshades light page
72 of an Isaac Assimov novel
bathing science fiction in extinction
and thoughts of the grandeur
of the long gone beasts
Reserved for museums and Hollywood
movie screens
Captured in all their primitive ferocity
and it struck me that
it’s a dinosaur eats dinosaur world out
there just didn’t have the same ring
to it, people are more easily equated
with dogs
our claws are not as sharp as those
of ancient reptiles but our bark
is much worse than our bite
Where are the Cretaceous Nazi’s?
goose stepping across pangea in
battalions of survival, herds of
hunters under stars that haven't
changed in all the fossilized fables
since the greatest extinction that peanut
brains had ever known
and become unknown
