  • Right now I'm listening to Vivian Stanshall reading his "Sir Henry at Rawlinson End", and a second ago he described the shadows from a latticed window as "scurrying like convent girls menaced by a tramp". Then I read your post and smiled at coming across two good similes in such a moment.
