A romantic line I wrote when I was 18

I was once desperately in "love" with a particular girl. She made me say the most intimate things, that I've probably said in my entire life. Unfortunately, these lines got me nowhere... but anyhow, I just wanted to share this line with you and ask for your opinion about what you might think of it. It goes like this...
I could think of owning the moon, the stars, and all the planets thereof; And I could think of selling them for a price that would last an eternity. But if I only had you in my arms and made you fall in love with me, I could never think of letting go of you.
This isn't the land of opportunity, it's the land of competition.
