And Marshalls cranked "eleven" for that buzz
That Roger Mayer built: you'll play again
The feeling and the notes and tao and zen
That Jimi knew when playing though that gear.
And now the gig with Cox and Mitchell's near,
I thought I'd wish you well and say I know
you'll recreate his spirit as you blow
through your guitar our Jimi's smiling soul.
