My PC completely crashed last night and I've lost everything on my hard drive....computer wizards are rebuillding a new system for me, but I also need to get a new modem. So I shall be absent for a couple of days. A friend is letting me type this on his pc!

Computer crashes make my heart hurt.
A quick poem for Finsbury and his computer woes…
I am surprised by the emptiness
That arrived when you left
I didn’t realize what I stored in your space
I fear what may be lost
Regrets
Resolutions to change
Knowing that I’ll stay the same
I always tell myself I should back up my computer, especially when someone else’s crashes, but I hardly ever do.
It sucks to lose stuff and have to resign yourself to the fact that you’re not getting it back.
At least this message board is an awesome archive of poetry and conversation.
May it’s circuits never falter.
I shall return
It might take days
This cafe shows
there's other ways
Of keepin' touch!

A love we hold, and trusting this:
all things return

for moons, shadows, kisses and
the tiny secrets of birds.
Birds--may the crashing of violets
bring new ways of saying i love you
on the wind,
the slightest telepathic glance
a knowing i've always known you
forever-leafed and glad
and knowing, too, that the words
crash like waves, forgetting themselves
until only the ions of cheeks and eyes
recall the mysterious meetings,
face-to-face.
Volumes of knowledge, tsunamied down,
the misplaced faith in the mechanized world
of numerical languages dimly pressed.
Each crisis an opportunity
for finding oneself, more sure
in the good air of freedom,
the gull
returning,
the believing and believing
when
violets come crashing down
that anything vital
is never lost~~
I'm back.....I've got two pcs sorted out now, both online....it cost a few quid but never shall I be lacking the contact again!!!
