New codes

Imagine falling in love with someone who falls in love with you (regardless of a previously pragmatic view you both share of the logistics of interpersonal relationships ), via a written correspondence. After all, it happens in in a fiction, "84 Charring Cross Road"!
You both know that the semiotics - the sign systems - of linguistic communication are apparently limited to expressing via ciphers and alphabetical pictograms a symbolic code for the wordless language of love and desire. You two people, having fallen in love have to try to overcome the limitations of this, and, wow, you and this dear person find uncannily that you can do very well to say the unsayable language of the heart!
There comes a time when you two will need to introduce a new medium, a new environment to your spiral into oneness...the telephone! How strange to be sitting alone in a dark room hearing the electronic representation of a disembodied voice call out "Hello" to you for the very first time. And to think you'd always been a person who needed all the senses, right there and then, to feel attracted to someone!
The voice of your dearest love, but at the same time a voice you're hearing for the very first time....or a voice you remember from a past you've lived without knowing? Getting over the initial strangeness of the familiar within the unfamiliar and the unfamiliar within the familiar - the strange duality of "meeting" someone you know intimately whilst still to meet them in the flesh; this long distance love of yours confounds ideas of proxemics being necessary for intimacy. But again something overcomes the silences between the words, the nervous hesitances: the tremble of a voice saying "I love you"; the sounds of breath that speak the beating of the heart.
You and your love agree, and know, you WILL come to meet, to fuse the powerful atoms pulling you together across continents to an electric union, the birth of new worlds, new constellations, new universes of feeling and living and being, for ever and ever.
And neither of you thought it possible six months ago!

Bold As Love
Anger he smiles, towering in shiny metallic purple armour
Queen Jealousy, envy waits behind him
Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground
Blue are the life-giving waters taken for granted,
They quietly understand
Once happy turquoise armies lay opposite ready,
But wonder why the fight is on
But they're all bold as love, yes, they're all bold as love
Yeah, they're all bold as love
Just ask the axis
My red is so confident that he flashes trophies of war and
ribbons of euphoria
Orange is young, full of daring,
But very unsteady for the first go round
My yellow in this case is not so mellow
In fact I'm trying to say it's frightened like me
And all these emotions of mine keep holding me from, eh,
Giving my life to a rainbow like you
But, I'm eh , yeah, I'm bold as love
Yeah, yeah
Well I'm bold, bold as love (hear me talking to you)
I'm bold as love
Just ask the axis (he knows everything)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I could give my life to my orange and blue bee girl
