I will never publicly admit to having met Syd Barrett
but seeing as his sister is auctioning his bicycle wheels
I will admit with my heart
] I only realised how much I miss him
when I was in the varnish section
of B&Q.

It is quite clearly a poem titled "This Is Not a Poem". It is not an unfathomable idea.
