    I've encountered similar difficulties at work - that by virtue of the fact that my boss is older than me, he seems to believe that he should instantly command my respect... Young as I am, I understand the importance of the sentiment that respect is not a given but is earned. And yes, he is severely under-educated and xenophobic and doesn't like the fact that I tactfully question some of his completely unfeasible/unthinking/irrational/stupid ideas or plans. And he's fucking ugly to boot...
    Unsurprisingly, his brother-in-law got him the job...You gotta love nepotism.
    And just in case your wondering, no, he's not married. His sister ain't no oil painting either...
