    You know what? Sometimes Eddie manages to make me feel unco, and ugly, and not very smart. Like sometimes I think he's just so far far far above me in terms of his looks, talent and charisma, that I'd hate to meet him because it would be horribly obvious that I'm just not in his A-class, eloquent, talented, ridiculously attractive, ridiculously creative league. Oh and don't forget witty and sporty too! Jesus, I was the laughing stock of my PE class! (My friends still laugh about my antics) And although I adore the beach and swimming like any good Aussie, I'm kinda scared of sharks and big waves and am turning into a massive wimp. And Eddie's this amazing surfer, so fearless and agile, and just good at EVERYTHING. It does my head in. Oh and he paints too . . . yep. His talent scares me sometimes! His beauty scares me! His courage and charm! Does anyone else agree?

    But then you hear something about this man that makes him seem so much more vulnerable, and it actually breaks your heart with love. Like it says on Wikipedia that he had an expressive language disorder, is that for real? Has anyone else heard that? It just seems SO out of place for someone so eloquent and gifted . . . there's so much more to him than we'll ever know. Like I'd never imagined anyone could have ever touched a hair on his beautiful head, I just couldn't imagine it, not my brave hero, not our man, but you never know what happens in someone's past . . . jesus. It doesn't bear thinking about.

    I'm supposed to be doing my essay, but after chatting with the girls on our facebook page (all welcome! Come and join us in you're on fb! look up http://www.facebook.com/groups/veddicine/) I can't stop thinking about how much everyone goes through, how bloody difficult it is growing up. And then there is EV with all of his layers and all of the shit that happened to him.

    Eddie Vedder . . . jesus. He's just too much. Too much. Too beautiful, and human, and talented, and loveable. What would any of us do without him. It's a tragedy that we'll never truly know him. I know it's totally naff and a bit Beckham like, but how much would you all love to read an autobiography? A truly honest autobiography written by Eddie? Not a ghost writer. By the great man himself. I hope that's something he considers later in his career, just so some of his millions of adoring fans can get to know him a little, can try to understand him. Can spend time with him in a book. Imagine reading Eddie's thoughts? Fuck, that would be HEAVEN!!!!!

    Oh Elmo, you definitely get an A on this essay. He does seem to have a knack for most everything, doesn't he? And you have a wonderful gift for writing and for being a non-judgmental, kind, wonderful human being and friend. BTW I posted a pic of you back on an AET thread.     So true. In fact, I believe there is a thread devoted solely to popcorn and its delightful-ness. However, I do feel that popcorn has many more appropriate uses in this thread.
