I just popped into see what the latest news was here at 10c. This is a really nice thread, its like looking through a scrapbook of sorts, so many wonderful pictures and memories from people who posted them. I don't know if I'll ever get through the entire thread! Its great to waste some time and to be reminded of the fun things in life, like PJ concerts and good music, especially when the world is spinning out of control some days.
I agree, this thread is one of the best places on the forum! Eddie's beautiful, honest face can do wonders on a crappy day. The man was sent to us to make life more bearable, and this thread is the perfect celebration of that . . .
PS The FB group isn't supposed to take people away from the thread, it's just somewhere where we can chat easily and see what each-other look like!!! Which is so nice!
Jen, I was actually thinking about you last night and remembering that you're not into Facebook. And I wouldn't want to encourage anyone to join Facebook, it's annoying and a massive time sucker. Plus it can actually make you feel crap sometimes! (The reason I don't shut down my account for good is because it helps me connect with my overseas friends, I get to see pics of them and their babies and that means a lot to me!). But at the same time, I HATE EXCLUSION. Excluding people is one of my pet hates. It feels gross so I don't understand why people do it to others. So if you wanted to have a look at the group now and then (when things get a bit saucy for the thread ), we could create a dummy profile for you (just need a valid email address) that you could use purely to log in now and then. If we made it anon then people wouldn't know who you were, and you wouldn't get bombarded with friend requests!
But at the same time, there is something so lovely and pure about not engaging with Facebook (egobook as it has been called) so I totally respect you not wanting to join!
