Good one, Jen! Yesterday, I was feeling so sad that I didn't score tix. Today I feel much better. I figure that even if I don't get any at the public sale, the fall tour is coming up!"A beacon on dry land"0 -

I'm feeling better today too. Still wearing my hoodie for comfort though. Listening to Tampa 2000. Gazing through this thread now and then. Trying to avoid the rest of the porch. So psyched for fall!5/3/92 Omaha, NE

What a great fucking day!!
Did too! I am soooo happy to be going again! Plus I live
for adventure, and love road trips!! Never been to
Chicago! I can't wait to go to the top of the Sears Tower!
And it's a really cool way to explain to my sister why I so
often travel To go see these guys!
Hope you enjoy going to Willis Tower
I went on the glass balconies, they were pretty cool, not for anybody who is afraid of heights though.
This was my view
If you like art, I recommend visiting the Art Institute of Chicago. Also go and check out Cloud Gate (The Bean),I loved seeing that!
Oh, I am definitely going to the Art Institute. I am looking at that Seurat painting (a copy of which is over my fireplace) for maybe a good hour. I would like to get a look at that Bean too. And BTW, cute shoes! And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes0 -

Drawn to other works! I get lost in them, texture, pallet, redource, and spacial conformity or
abstraction have no limits, and it astounds me to see what others do with them!!
So Sears Tower is now Willis Tower?? Either way, I have this uniquely curious, and probably
dangerous obsession with heights!! I HAVE to climb go the highest point if things! That's
why I love rock climbing and bouldering so much!
And what is The Bean? It sounds interesting, and we'll be in town an extra day before the show,
And an extra day after, so we're trying to compile a Chicago bucket list do to speak! Of must haves,
and must do's! Only discovering this Diabetes has sure out a massive damper on what I can and can't
eat!!!
Can't wait to see everyone!! Maybe we can all gather afterward for a collective Ed experience afterwards!
Although that may be Iffy, it'll be Summer break which means Jill and the girls will likely be along, especially
Since for sure Jason still lives out there,( he's Ef's next brother down BTW) and I think Chris does as well
( second or third brother, I always get he and the other one, Mike confused! Don't know why??) but be prepared
For Ed to bail on us in leu of his family!
Ok now for some pics as a reward for trudging through that post!!!!0 -

The Bean is a huge metallic sculpture designed by Anish Kapoor...I think every city should have one:

I have a facebook friend in France. She posted these the other day from Dr. Martens France. I would love to have a pair.
Converse are much more practical for trucking around Chicago in the heat of summer though! And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes0 -

okay here's an irrelevant story on how eddie vedder boosted my self-esteem for a few weeks: when i saw him live in november, he invited me on stage to sing & just be up there feeling the music and stuff and there was a moment when he was sitting on his seat playing the very beginning of "hard sun" and i was standing less than 3 feet away/right next to his little film radio thing and he looked at me and i got really nervous because he was looking right into my eyes so i just waved like a dork and he winked and smiled at me so for a few weeks i had very high self-esteem cause i'd think "eddie vedder winked at me so i don't give a shit about what anyone else thinks". his mouth was also **inches from my face** when we shared a microphone. ahh i was a very smitten girl that night.11/6/12 EV solo (got to meet him!!)
