Voting hasn't started yet, but there's going to be a 2 week voting period where you can vote once per day for a photo. I'm going to be posting about it on tumblr to ask people to vote, and i'm trying to think of ways to encourage everyone to vote. What would encourage a Pearl Jammer to vote?
I've already put this together to put on tumblr, and will set it up so that when you click on it you're taken straight to my photo entry.

Oh honey!! This is a hard one!!!!!!!!!!! If you were on facebook I'd suggest asking all of your friends to vote, but I have a feeling you're not on facey because you haven't joined our group!!! (If you're on facebook Emma you have to come and join us, it's EV-infatuation no-holds-barred heaven!) . . .
But yeah, I think the idea of offering people a collage is lovely! Very generous! But essentially, if you make it SUPER easy for people to vote for you (provide the link and very clear instructions) then I'm sure the readers of your blog would be more than happy to help out!!!!! Especially since they enjoy the blog for free!
DEFS make use of all of your social media accounts (such as twitter, instagram, fb etc, if you're on them) to ask people to vote, and yes obviously email your network of friends and family and FORCE THEM to support you!!!!!!!!! You're obviously a COMPLETE EV FANATICO, and you're totally into your ukes (because of him I'm guessing?) well, you might never hold your beloved EV in your arms, but this is your chance to hold a much coveted uke in your arms instead!!!
Is the PJ forum used for stuff like this? Coz PJ fans usually are pretty cool with supporting eachother and I'm sure a few would be happy to vote for your pic if you started a thread. I'll be voting!!! Just tell me how!
This is kinda unrelated, but you know, I've actually been thinking about those of us on this thread that play the uke now because of Eddie!!!! I think it's such a constructive thing to come out of infatuation with a stranger!
The ONLY reason I bought a uke, is because I bought that Uke Songs Songbook. To be honest I bought it coz I thought it would have some nice pics of Eddie, and maybe some handwriting etc . . . I didn't really think it through, so when it arrived I was like, 'errrr maybe I need one of those. I used to play violin once upon a time, how hard can it be?' And now I fricking LOVE playing my cheap little number! I fucking love it!!!!
And you know what's even BETTER? I've ALWAYS wanted my husband to be able to sing in harmony with me (in the car on road trips etc), which he can't really manage, he always floats up to my note. But somehow, because he's heard me play it so many times (and heard EV sing it) he can sing 'Tonight You Belong To Me' as a duet with me. We're a fucking sonny and cher team and its hilarious. It makes me so happy!!! hahahaahaa!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Do you have the book??? Do you love it????? I think I remember reading that one of the other Ukie girls on here (Ocean, Jen?? was that you?) weren't able to get a copy. Which if that's true is shithouse because it's such a joy to be able to play your hero's songs . . . and of course you know them so well already.
Anyway, sorry for getting off topic . . . I just love playing EV's songs and wanted to share that because I'm sure a few of you are doing the same thing and loving it too

There is just SOMETHING about really nice men who aren't sleazy in the slightest . . . when they DO flirt (and you know it's not gross) it's just so fricking nice. A lovely man with a twinkle in his eye is SO SEXY. Someone who can be a friend and be all sincere and lovely, and then can also give you a glimpse of their sensuality, it's magic. Yep seeing Eddie's solo show is what got me into wanting to learn the uke. I haven't got the songbook, I wish I did, maybe I should keep an eye out for it on ebay. At my uke group class we learnt how to play a basic version of "Rise", obviously it doesn't sound as nice as Eddie on the mandolin, but it is still fun to play.
I'll definitely post a thread here once voting starts with the competition. Every little vote will count and I'd really appreciate any votes.
