Hello lovely ladies! Welcome back Albertagirl! And a very warm welcome to the newbies too!!
And OIME, yes, thank you honey! Yes indeed, I hold a BIG torch for Mikey too . . . I've always LOVED Mike, like absolutely adored him, but now I really, REALLY, like Mike This week has been especially bad. I can't stop thoughts of Mike jumping into my head when I need to be concentrating on study (which is impossibly boring and hard to concentrate on at the best of times!) . . . and every time I think of him I get this warm fuzzy happy feeling, and I just want to gobble up footage of him. I can't get enough of him. There's something so boyish, and clean, and innocent about Mike. He's so gorgeous. I want him ALONE in a room with me, NOW
And let's face it, although I'd like to think I DRINK like Eddie (in excess, but with control) I'm so much more like Mike.
I drink too much (most weekends) and I lose my shit, and while I don't get naked like Mike did (he was such a LOOSE CABOOSE! Haha! I love that about him) I do get pretty loose when I get drunk. I hug and kiss everyone TO DEATH (boys and girls) and tell everyone how much I LOVE THEM, and basically just get really high on alcohol and annoy people with too much gushy love and weird behaviour. And then I black out and can't walk and don't remember anything and endanger myself over and over and over again. It's a miracle I haven't died from a fall (of which there have been many) or haven't been raped and murdered on my way home!
So I think I admire Mike more and more, because deep down I know I need to be more like him. He's sober! ALWAYS SOBER! The thought kind of kills me, but unless I can seriously get a hold of this shit, I'm going to have to do it too. But sadly WITHOUT the thrill and excitement of being the lead guitarists in one of the world's biggest rock bands, and getting that natural high night after night!
In any case, I think that's why I feel so incredibly drawn to Mike. Because he's done it. He's been there, been an addict, and come back from the brink to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. I'd love to know more about how he did it. He should write a lil book for all of us fans that need his advice.
And maybe I'm also drawn to him because he's so FUCKING CUTE, and has this innocence that is just adorable, and has an emotional honesty and rawness on the guitar that is BEYOND. And because his tattooed arms drive me insane! But mostly because he's got this adorable demeanor, and this infectious smile, and his hands are graceful (and very, very gifted ), and he's just SO NICE, and intelligent too. And I just adore everything about him. His talent. Everything. He's amazing.
Don't you think he's just such a sweetheart? Look at this recent interview? So cute. R'peche where are you? You love MM too hey?
Anyways, I'm so sorry for the rant ladies! Thank you for the therapy session! You guys are the total best and I feel lucky to have you.

And yes I might love Mike intensely, but I love Eddie intensely too. If there was a zip on Eddie I'd undo it and climb on in! I'd snuggle in next to his heart and go to sleep and never leave. But that's a whole other therapy session!

Oh Emma I am so sorry. I got locked out after the fake ticket test; I know how frustrating that can be. I even had to get a new password from the tech guys at 10C. I am glad the problem is resolved.
And I am so glad that you posted this picture. This was in Austin, 5 days after I saw the solo show. I sure wish I could have followed him from city to city, like Whispering hands back in the day. Here is a you tube link I found, where he had Jimmy Flemion on stage with him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1Mx7x6GiME Jimmy's brother, Dennis (together they made up The Frogs) died tragically this past year. Eddie and Dennis sang a couple of songs and it was amazing they got through it. They were both so clearly missing Dennis. It was beautiful, very touching. It is nice to see them here, so happy to be together.
