He is really a man with a beautiful soul. Sometimes i think he has an very old soul. When i read what for unbelievable words he wrote in his early years... sometimes i can't believe it...It's definitely more as a simply talent.
He make so wonderful things for other people and is committed for the things what is seems important to him - although he don't must do that all.
What other 35-year-old rock god does that? Really? What other man do you know that is capable of such an egoless, loving display? It’s stuff like this clip that restores people’s faith in the human race, and in men. My subconscious was being ridiculous . . . AS IF I could ever stop loving my hero! What man dissolves into tears at a concert over the death of fans 10 years prior? What man writes and sings something as primal and full of pain and beauty as Arc? He’s just a guy, and I’m sure he can be a knob like anyone, but he’s a man that we can all be proud to be in love/lust/hero-worship with. Especially when he has such a great boner!

Hey, have any of you lovely ladies seen the youtube clip of Eddie singing Last Kiss at the ’99 Bridge School concert, that seems popular on youtube at the mo? I think it’s utterly incredible, and I’ll tell you why.
A few weeks ago, for about 5 days, I was concerned I might be falling out of ‘love’ with Eddie Vedder. BIZARRE. Like I’d see a photo of him and I’d be strangely indifferent, I wouldn’t feel that bond that we all feel (all 6 million of us ) . . . I think I must have been going through some internal, subconscious shift. Like maybe I was releasing some of the crap from my teenage years, and with that release I was reassessing my old needs and desires? Whatever it was all about though, I think my subconscious was being pretty fucking naïve. I mean, does it know who it’s dealing with? After a big boozy weekend, when all I needed something to cheer me up, I came across this video, and it was the PERFECT weapon against whatever my subconscious was trying to do. I think even my subconscious/spirit/higher-self was floored by the beauty of Eddie after watching this, and was like ‘okay, okay! You can have your obsession with this man! But only because he’s worth it, and will teach you something about being human’ . . . I’m sure you’ve all seen it.
Aaargh, this breaks my heart! And not just because Pearl Jam do something so touching and lovely. This breaks my heart because it’s almost like Eddie forgets the rest of the room while he serenades Maricor. He’s singing just to her — and with that look on his face! The way he smiles into her eyes with such an expression of warmth and love, it’s just too much to bear. It’s almost as if he’s saying, ‘I understand you Maricor, I can hear the voice inside your head that no one else can hear — and don’t for one second think that because you’re in that chair, with an unreliable body, that you’re not a beautiful girl’.

You so speak the truth...how conflicted I too have been with my adoration of this beautiful man. I haven't seen that video in awhile and while you had me lol with understanding, the video had me in tears again like the first time I saw it. He is truely such a beautiful person. Still think we can appreciate and adore him just as much while leaving out pics and talk of his ahem....

I was in there 2000 at show in Berlin. The same tour. And i can remember me, at my feeling he was so sad. It was a powerful concert, yes, but Eddie looked sad all the time and distanced.
Completely different from the other concerts that I saw!
2000 was not the year when he divorced from Beth? Maybe that's the reason ...

Ahhhhh..... Even '92 eddie doesn't beat this pic. Lovely! You are all right the accessibility of their emotions is one of the best parts of their music. When eddie sang forever young in Tulsa you know he was feeling every word. There I was sitting there completely locked in place and in touch with every note and word, thinking about the 3 little people who call me mommy and how blessed I am to have them and how blessed I am to be listening to eddie vedder sing about it!
