An Inside Look At My Day

Ali

I sit.
A washed-up actress.
I wake up at 2pm.
I smoke.
I play on the computer.
I take a walk.
On the good days ,
I go to the beach.
But the whole time,
I write poetry.
I mustn't be that bad.
I visit my friends.
I wonder who I'll be sleeping with next.
I wonder if I'll find you in time.
I wish this bi-polar illness would go away.
I want a beer.
I now have a beer.
I think about Taoism.
I think about God.
After I'm off the computer,
I'll just go sit on the porch and smoke.
Maybe take a nap-
talk to my muses-my inner soul.
And maybe,
just maybe,
I'll have finished that beer before the recycle-men come tomorrow.
