ready for a good night sleep now
not sure how a mad dog would feel

-reminds of this boxer called Charles "mad dog" Williams, going nowhere until a new manager, a woman, changed his name to Charles "prince" William. He became a world champ (for real, the guy exists, (it's not me) No matter what one thinks of boxing, it's a beautifull modern version of old stuff where princes kiss a frog and turn it into nice princesses, isn't it?
Well, i'd still rather have a cup of coffee than kiss a frog, but, hey, who am I to judge :-)

This haiku seems very familiar. I read a similar one in a book. The cat with the one eye open is an image that has stayed with me. Imagine what cool haiku I would write if I had a dog or a cat, alas.
