Maybe we should all be there for the passerbys, those we see starving in the streets as adult-children.Maybe we should spiritually adopt the children lost in abortion, and those who have no family.Do we worry about how much money we can make and how many houses we have all around the world?Or maybe we should start thinking about who we should let in them.Maybe we should worry about the sick and ailing, who can't even make it up to go to church in the morning,or those of us,ALL OF US, who fall short into sin.
Maybe we should worry about war, and the effect it has on the lives of our children, family, and friends.Maybe we should think about the poor, blessed I wish they be,how they have not even enough food to feed their families and friends.Maybe we should all say a prayer when we have a spare moment,to end the selfishness and desolation in the world.
Maybe we should take a minute to be thankful to God.

I wrote this because I feel I fall short of perfection in ways I cannot explain,
we all do.But the fact is, you learn from it,make up for your sins, and move on and learn something new, even if you don't have a parent or guardian capable of giving you the right answers.Don't dwell upon your sins and the things you cannot change, but learn, love, and grow in the light of God.
I hope this may have helped someone other than myself, but everyday I try to acheive perfection and it is SO difficult.I guess with practice and learning more about my religion of God,I can only get better, stronger, wiser, and closer to the gate of Heaven.
Peace,
and God Bless.

Ali, how truly beautiful, thank you for posting that! I second those thoughts. I don't strive for perfection but just do the best I can to do right and be just with much love. I don't believe in perfection for any of us, that is Gods. This has got to be my favorite post of yours and I am happy you shared it, what a wonderful heart you have! :)
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!

Closer to the gate of heaven huh? I always wonder why all Christians think their going to heaven when the Bible is clear that those found to be faithful will be brought back to earth after Jesus' 1,000 year reign before he turns all over back to God. The Bible says that only a small number actually go to heaven to rule as kings and priests for the 1,000 years, who are they ruling over? Those resurected to earth. Early, first century Christians went to heaven and maybe a few over the years past, who knows, but certainly, most of gods people will be on earth. I'm not attacking you, but if you want to bathe in God's glory you must think his thoughts which are layed out in the bible. This isn't just some interpretation either, it is what the bible says.

People think David and Noah and all those early faithful Hebrews went to heaven. When Jesus was on earth, he said that no man has ascended into the heavens except him that descended (speaking of himself). Once Jesus died, the way was opened for the "little flock" to go to heaven. The "other sheep" he spoke of. "I have other sheep which are not of this fold". A clear distiction. "Other" than what? He spoke of two classes of the faithful, those who go to heaven (few) and those who return to earth (many). Look it up. When the bible talks so much about going to heaven, it isn't talking about everyone, just those early Christains Paul was writing his letters to. And becasue he was writing to those who DO go to heaven, the world's religions have become confused and think he is talking to everyone. He is talking to those chosen ones whom we are to imitate. God created the earth for us to live on, why would he take us off of it when he promises to restore it to peace and perfection?

ANywho, nice post, you just sparked me a bit there.

    :)

I just believe that anyone who truely believes in God and Christ will do good and go to Heaven.
almost ALL religions believe in some kind of God....:)

But where do you go to even know that God and Christ exist? The Bible. Right?

If you are going to believe the Bible on that. Then you also need to know that The Bible says. in fact JESUS said that even the Devil and all his angels (demons) BELIEVE! He said even the Devils believes. Of course the Devil believes in Christ, he has met him. Satan truely believes in God and Christ. Will he go to heaven?

This is the point Jesus was making. Believing me in nothing. Practicing my works and being NO PART OF THE WORLD is what gets people life.

You say they will go to heaven. Jesus says they will be resurected on earth.

I know you will shrug this off. Most do. You already have. Thats fine. But should you not check these out? Look some things up? Jesus said to read the Bible daily. He also said to keep checking these things you believe. How many times have you read it? Do you think a person could wade through all the various lies and find what Jesus REALLY wants in just one or two readings. Reading it twice took me 2 years. How much effort, you see, must be put into it. If one is not seeking CHrist in the manner than Christ commanded he/she will not find Christ and be saved. If one does not do things in the way Jesus says, when Jesus said it must be done just this way, how can that person possibly think they will be saved. Jesus said quite the contrary.

Jesus said that faith without works is dead. If this is true, how can someone simply believe, do good and still sneak into everlasting life?
