Climbing

As I climbed,
I couldn't get
much higher.
I lowered
myself down
finding
this wasn't
the place
I wanted to be.
I hit the ground ,
the ropes loosened,
and my shoes
felt the cement.
The air relieved me,
I drank some water,
and my climb was over.
Next weekend,
I'll try
middle ground.
A whisper and a thrill

    it's a nice poem, ali, but I hate middle ground. I like extremes; they're more real.

    yes, you aren't neccessarily to make it to the summit on the first crack...lovely
    The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

    And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
    Because I know how much time that wastes
