I am thinking about buying myself one hell of a xmas gift. I am eyeing up a full set of the holiday singles on ebay, it is at about $250 right now and ends today...i dont ever recall seeing a ful set of the singles for sale or on ebay so i am thinking about trying to snatch it up...

$500? i can spare that, but then i would have to get a nice record player to play them, so it would be a little more i guess

waddya guys think?

Only the first 3 or 4 are worth anything. Most of the others you can just contact the ten club for to see if they have extras still for $2 each.

The first single usually goes anywhere from 100-150.

    The second around 50-75

    The third around 30-50.

The rest you shouldn't pay more than 10-15 for tops.

So I wouldn't go higher than 400 at most, but that's me.

i think 96, 97, 98, and 99 gor for more then $10-15, but i could be wrong... i remeber losing a few auctions where they went for like $35 or so?

but you should get some type of discount with a bulk auction like that... i will let you guys know ho i make out :)
  • Not to knock the idea of purchasing all the xmas singles but judging by the comment that you would need to purchase a record player makes me think that you dont have any other vinyl, If your willing to drop 500 on records i would start by purchasing some of the albums. IMO.
Are we getting something out of this... all encompassing trip?

i already have 03, 04, 05, 06, and 07... but i dont have the others and cant get them via 10c... and i dont have the patience to track down all of them separately and pay for separate shipping from ebay.... not to mention most people selling PJ stuff on ebay have no idea what they are doing... i bought a 2000 single before and it was destroyed because of poor packaging... and i have had several really bad experieces buying posters from average joes on ebay

if i buy on ebay it is from a good seller

    this is tough :(

I have seen the first single on ebay average at about $100. The second is usually in the $50 range and the 1993 Angel single can be got for as low as $20. Starting with 95 and up don't spend more than $20 cause they are everywhere and so many people have them. They are not rare like the first 3. So, in my opinion, $400 is a fair price like posted above. $500 is the absolute highest you should pay only because it is a one time sale and it's convenient to buy them all together as opposed to hunting them down individually. Good Luck. They are a nice collection.

Guy, save the $ and use it towards a solid turntable. You can do without 3 7" records with 2 songs on each. Trust me.

I think you should just put in a bid for the most amount of money you're willing to spend on the collection and then stay away from ebay until the auction is done.
