My One and Only ( A happy poem for a change)

He was always there for me
With his beautiful blue eyes
I looked at him and I felt
That I would never die

Every week I'd look at him
He so pale and thin
So tall so strong
So handsome...

I yearned for your smile
And your contagious laugh
So much I almost grew sick
I knew I could trust you
When my time was through
I could count on you through thin and thick

Holding your precious guitar
We're so close and yet so far
Nevertheless, I'm happy I guess
Just to be around you

How happy was I you ask?
Think about the first time you learned how to ride a bike
Or the first time you related to a poem,
Or a song?

Do you remember how good it felt?
Just to have an outlet,
Or someone to talk to
Instead of wallowing in your sorrow
You feel like,
Like you could rule the world tomorrow!

He was so beautiful
So thin and so pale
His eyes reached out to me
So blue and fraile
My one and only...
