It came to me in a dream

I saw you yesterday
You came to me in a dream
You were really there
Or so it seemed
Extending your hand out
Touching mine
Everything that was wrong with me
Now seemed to be fine

Hearing a suicidal scream
I awoke with a start
All the problems that I thought were gone
Are now tearing me apart

I found out that you were never there
Feeding off my precious air
Breathing fumes into my soul
Destroying my body from part to whole

Corpses are not for everyone
But once you become one
It can be fun

  • I danced with the dead
I think I was dead a while too
    Or so it seemed
I'm not sure if it was real
They did seem like a fun bunch
    At the time
    They did

    Then I woke up
