Since the holidays are nearing closer, I thought I'd post a thread about it. You can write poetry about it or what have you. Also, share anything you've done to help the less fortunate around this time of year. Who knows, it could inspire more people to do good things for other, and show how much you care.

For example, tonight I am going christmas caroling. We are going to visit people who aren't able to leave their house due to age or disability. Also, every year up until about two years ago, me and my friends went to this retirement home, and kind of sat and talked with everyone for about an hour. It felt so good to give back to the people who don't have as much as you.

The moral of the story is, everyone has something to offer to the world. Contrare to most of the poems I've written, there are some people who deserve some recognition on the holidays. Around this time of year, people start to feel so alone. I've been there, and it's not a good feeling, it sucks. I don't want others to feel the way I felt, so show them that you care.
"Trying to be a person you're not is a waste of the person you really are."- Kurt D. Cobain (R.I.P February 20, 1967- April 5, 1994, we love u Kurt)

Kudos to you and your karma.

    aside from the spanking,
often and many times i can not comprehend the amazing lovliness of your words. that was such a beautiful thing to say to stolenpencil. and pencil, what a wonder and sweet gesture especially cause i needed just what you said.

and i wonder how your radar really works because i get scared since just yesterday, and the day before that and before that i kept having this flashing of and memory present of the past, like 1974-1975 we lived in this apartment complex and in those days we could be 5th and 6th graders and go out into the complex and hang with gangs of friends and play kickball in the dark and stuff and our parents would not care and we could trick or treat and stuff. the complex, was our oyster.

one year, us kids, not adults, decided to go caroling on our own. and we did. how many kids that age today woudl say, lets go out in the dark cold and sing religous songs to strange townhouse doors.

many ddidn't open that night. many wondered what the hell a bunch of kids were up to. what trouble we might cause, but mostly, people were happy.

especially the old people. no one talked with them. but that night we came and sang to them. it was amazing.

thank you so much for showing me the song in pencils voice.
and my gita to you would still sing, i love you.
